About Our Driveway Alert® Systems

DRIVEWAY ALERT® SYSTEMS are a group of easy to install wireless detection and monitoring systems utilizing one or multiple infra-red sensor/transmitter. The infra-red sensor is ideal for detecting vehicles and other subjects entering your driveway. The sensor/transmitter operates on a 9 volt battery, has a 40 degree field of view and can be set up anywhere detection is desired. The sensor is also completely weatherproof and will operate to 40 degrees below zero. The receiver plugs into a standard 110-volt outlet to conveniently locate in your home, office, or business. When the sensor is activated, the receiver sounds the alert and a small, red diode indicator light is turned on until reset. Depending on the model, the reception range is from up to 1,000 feet to 2,500 feet with volume control and accessory capable. All our systems can be used with multiple receivers and sensor/transmitters.

The uses for our Driveway Alert® systems are endless. Add to the comfort and security of your surroundings. Our infra-red sensor/lens combination is able to detect moving vehicles, people and animals. Use our standard infra-red sensor/transmitters to monitor driveways, entryways, pathways, sidewalks, doorways, yards, barns, gardens, garages, sheds, hallways, business entrances, stockrooms, remote areas, appurtenant structures and much more. Receivers are available in standard configurations along with multi-channel receivers for monitoring several distinct zones and portable versions typically used by campers and hunters. We also offer an assortment of different sensor/transmitters for monitoring other activities or when infra-red sensing is not practical. Monitor your mail delivery, water levels, doors, windows and more. All of our receivers and transmitters are compatible. Check out our accessories for enhanced visual and audio warning indicators.

Miltronics Manufacturing, Inc. is a proud USA electronics product manufacturer. We were established in 1989 as a Mil-Spec contract manufacturer specializing in high reliability contract electronics manufacturing. Miltronics has been involved in projects such as the AFID friendly fire device used by our soldiers during Desert Storm and assembling specialized circuit boards for use in a space bound telescope. In the early 1990s, Miltronics began developing our own products. We design, procure, fabricate, assemble, test, package, inventory, sell and ship our products right from our facility in Keene, New Hampshire. We use local and regional fabrication companies for our unique metal components that require machining from raw stock. We also use local and regional plastic manufacturers to mold our unique plastic parts. We specify that our fabricators use metals and plastics originating within the US when possible. The nature of our products also requires the use of a wide variety of purchased electronic components made by many different manufacturers. Our overall philosophy is to buy local first, then regional if local isn’t possible and then within the US if regional isn’t possible. When buying certain components within the US is not possible, we ensure the components are procured from US owned distributors or other US owned supplier networks.

A Word About How We Range Test Our Systems. Since we sell our systems to people and businesses in the real world, we range test them in the real world. We don’t test on a lake or across a pond or in a laboratory or off the beaten path where no trace of interference will yield results better than what a real world user would experience. We test on the side of a road where there are power lines, telephone lines, cable TV lines, moving vehicles and all sorts of other real world occurrences. In addition, our advertised ranges are significantly below the results attained from our real world testing. We do this to ensure your system will perform as expected. If you ever do have a problem, we welcome your call to our Tech Support line where you will discuss your problem with an actual technician working right on our production floor.

We customize too. Don’t see exactly what you’re looking for? Do you want to monitor an area or activity and you’re not sure if it’s possible? Contact us. We may be able to customize one of our systems to suit your needs.
